Description

For the last 8 years, Mat Clements (Where’s the One?) and Marcus Britton (Oi Musica) have created an annual Galoshans Street band out of local P6 and P7 classes, this year from Aileymill and St. Andrews Primary Schools. The project is funded by Inverclyde’s Youth Music Initiative: the pupils have completed just 8 weekly classes and are now performing together for the very first time!

Featuring musicians Amanda Currie, Roddy Dickson, Rich Merchant and Tim Lane, plus kind support from school staff.

Company Bio

Where’s the One? and Oi Musica are community music  organisations working hard to broaden and deepen young people’s involvement in music. Through school and youth projects and performances they involve thousands of people in music-making each year, often for the first time.
