Would suit any adults of 18+ (or 16+ should have Guardians Permission) who would like to take part in the organisation and delivery of a local large-scale event.
Tasks would include:
audience stewarding such as managing the flow of people, implementing safety protocol, collating audience evaluation/feedback and general a friendly face to be able to support with any questions the public may have.
Volunteers will be supported by our event staff, security and production team. No experience necessary and any equipment (such as hi-vis, torches, radios) will be supplied by the festival. An introduction session will be completed 1 hour before event starts. Also happy to have a separate conversation pre-event to answer any questions/concerns you may have.
Have you always admired the Galoshans Giants? An opportunity to give a ‘helping hand’ to our iconic dancing Giant ‘Puppets’.
Open to all ages, anyone under 18 should have guardians’ permission.
We need 10 people to get involved at the Galoshans Street Parade/Party – 2 people per Giant to go around the parade and control the Giants hands – interacting with the public and dancing away to the party tunes played throughout the night.
Volunteers should be able to stand and walk around the site for up to three hours. You will have to dress for the weather and ensure you’re as comfortable as possible to be moving about outdoors.
