All performances in our programme are marked with a clear Access Key which identifies any access provisions that are in place:
AD: Audio Described – Live or recorded verbal description for blind and visually impaired audience members. This will either be integrated into the performance/event for everyone, or described live via headsets which will be provided by event management.
BSL: British Sign Language – Interpreted/Integrated
C: Captioned – Subtitles that translate or transcribe the dialogue, narrative or spoken word as well as a description of all sonic aspects of the work/non verbal noises.
R: Relaxed Performance – Performances or events that have been adapted for people on the autistic spectrum or people who could benefit from a more relaxed environment.
S: Subtitles – Subtitles that translate or transcribe the dialogue, narrative or spoken word.
SB: Sound Based – Projects with this tag will be sound based, audio works, gigs or heavily text focused performances.
SP: Sub-Pacs – Subpacs will be available for the performance; these are wearable vests that convert sound into vibrations.
T: Transcript – Downloadable or printed Transcript of text can be provided on request to audiences.
TT: Touch Tour – A touch tour gives attendees who are visually impaired the opportunity to touch parts of an installation, set and any major pieces of scenery, props and costumes.
V: Highly Visual / No or Little Text – Events with this tag will be highly visual and contain minimal or no text.
