The festival culminates in the highly anticipated Galoshans Street Party, which this year will be taking place on Tuesday 29th October (6-8 pm) at Custom House Square, East India Harbour and Beacon Arts Centre. Featuring ‘Sail Loft’ by Scottish company Oceanallover, an otherworldly performance, live music and spellbinding costume alongside a spectacular 10-metre-tall tower installation on Greenock’s waterfront. Also proudly presenting performances by Greenock Rock Choir and the Galoshans Street Band, part of Inverclyde’s Youth Music Initiative. Theatre School Scotland will showcase a Halloween themed, low-fi tech/pop-up performance on the Beacon Steps. Greenock Burns Club Spooky Storytelling and NoNonsense Productions- Performance of Frankenstein. With the usual street party favourites of the Galoshans Giants, Arts & Crafts, Immersive Sensory Art Bus, FacePainting, DJ/Music and projections.

Outdoor event with performances may contain flashing lights not suitable for attendees with photosensitive epilepsy, event will be loud and may not be suitable for attendees with sensory processing disorders – all possible accommodations will be made for individuals to still attend with access to quiet/dark space via a quiet / sensory area in the art bus.
The event is fully wheelchair accessible, with a disabled toilet and parking available at the Beacon. Limited seats will be available, please email us if you have access requirements so we can ensure they are in place for you to attend – info@rigarts.org.
