Haunted Home – Workshop 1

Organiser: Neve Pearce
Date: Monday 12th October 2026
Time / duration: 5pm / 2 hours
Ticket type: Free but ticketed
Recommended age: 8+ years
Event type: Workshop

Description

Haunted Home is a large walkabout house character designed and built in reference to the architectural and social history of the Inverclyde area.

Join a Puppet Maker’s workshop to create the folkloric creatures that adorn the Haunted Home.

In these workshops we’ll share spooky stories, folkloric tales and local ghost sightings with one another to inspire the creation of the Haunted Home’s inhabitants.

A variety of fabrics, sewing, and crafting materials, and recycled parts will be provided to help in the creation of our puppet, doll, and sculptural figures.

Our vibrant and diverse creatures will then be mounted to the house, filling the windows, porch, and any nooks and crannies in the structure, bringing it to life.

Culminating in the performance of the Haunted Home character at the Galoshans Festival Street Party.
