Volunteer at the Galoshans Festival Parade & Street Party!

Be at the heart of one of Inverclyde’s most exciting events! The Galoshans Festival is looking for a team of brilliant volunteers to help make our spectacular parade and street party a massive success. It’s a fantastic way to support your community, meet new people, and have a great time.

We have the following opportunities available:

Stewards

As a steward, you’ll be an essential part of the event team, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for thousands of festival-goers. You’ll act as a friendly point of contact, provide directions, and help manage the parade route.

• Who: Adults
• Briefing: A full briefing will take place on the day of the event.

Evaluation Survey Assistants

Help us make future festivals even better! In this role, you’ll engage with the public, asking them to complete short surveys about their experience. Your work is vital for gathering feedback and securing future funding.

Galoshans Giants Hand Operators

Here’s your chance to be part of the magic! We need enthusiastic operators to help bring our incredible Galoshans Giants to life. You’ll be responsible for operating the puppets’ hands, adding to the spectacle as they move through the streets.

• Who: Adults, and young people aged 10+ (must be accompanied by a participating adult).
